Cantor Fitzgerald Expands ABS Team in Europe

Cantor Fitzgerald continued its expansion into the fixed income, ABS and structured credit markets in Europe with over a dozen key new hires in the U.K., Italy, Ireland and Germany.

Emmanuel Androulidakis joins Cantor as the European head of the structured credit desk responsible for non-U.S. ABS/MBS trading. He will bulid a dedicated structured credit trading and distribution team covering all European asset classes. Previously, at RBS in London he ran the ABS/MBS desk. Earlier he was at Mellon Capital Markets where he structured RMBS deals.

Joining Androulidakis’ team is Bjoern Bauermeister who joins as a director focusing on trading non-U.S. ABS and MBS. Prior to Cantor Fitzgerald, Bauermeister served on BNP Paribas’ ABS trading desk where he was the sole market maker for European ABS/MBS/CDOs as well as CDS of ABS. He previously traded European ABS and CDO of ABS at WestLB.

Faten Bizzari joins as the head of European commercial real estate debt trading focusing on distribution platforms including CMBS and real estate loans. Bizzari joined from HBOS Treasury where she was head of investment credit overseeing £48 billion ($70.56) of ABS. Her expertise is in commercial real estate debt, particularly CMBS, having previously worked at Standard & Poor's and Morgan Stanley.

The new sales team consists of Vanessa Bradford, head of U.K. and Ireland structured credit sales. She joins Cantor from Lehman Brothers. At Lehman, Bradford was head of hedge fund sales for European structured products.

Lucinda Broad joins Bradford’s team as vice president U.K. and Ireland structured credit sales. Prior to joining Cantor, Broad was with BNP Paribas in structured credit syndication and debt capital markets origination.

Alessandra Frontini joins as managing director on the ABS/IG team focusing on Italian accounts and will be based in Milan. Frontini was previously at Morgan Stanley in credit sales.

Michela Molendi joins as managing director on the ABS and investment grade credit team focusing on Italian accounts. Previously, she was at Dresdner in fixed income sales.

Martin Hellmich joins the sales team as a managing director to form the structured credit sales team for Germany and Austria. Most recently, he was head of Treasury at DekaBank.

Bjoern Schuck joins Cantor as director in the structured credit sales team. Prior to Cantor, Schuck was at DekaBank where he was responsible for developing and marketing structured products.

Dacil Acosta joins the ABS/MBS sales team covering the Iberia region. Dacil was most recently in fixed income sales at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust where she also covered institutional clients in Spain and Portugal.

Jacques de Lezardiere joins the structured credit team from MarketAxess in London where he was in sales and in charge of France, Geneva and Monaco. Previously, de Lezardiere was at Bank of America in London where he ran structured credit sales for France and Belgium.

Cantor Fitzgerald has added over one hundred fixed income and equity sales and trading professionals over the past year. Focused on a capital structure-centric business model and cross-market strategy, Cantor is continuing to grow its fixed income and equity capital markets and investment banking businesses with a particular emphasis on the European markets.
